Jason Marson Does anyone know if the decals in this kit are the ones with removable cover film as they are excessively thick and a pain to confirm. This is despite using setting and softening solutions. Thank you.

Spanjaard well, i can not confirm or deny that found this at britmodeller (britmodeller.com/for..el-off-carrier-film/) apparently is was the answer from Eduard to some user, and it may help you.
"Regarding the new decals - they can be recognized by having a production date on them - 23.06.2020 and forward. Its true the coat can be removed once dried, but it requires some skills and experience. We do not suggest to our customers they should or need to do this. The decals can be worked with the same way as before- with the older once. So using the method of removing the top layer is up to the customer - at their own risk."

Jason Marson Thank you for that answer Spanjaard. Most helpful. I think I will just try and work them a bit more with softener and maybe try the extra gloss coat and sanding method. Gracias!

Spanjaard since there are different decal options, maybe you can try with some of them in some older model or piece of plastic, if something goes wrong, no great loos... better than in the ones in the model. just in case they react in a way you can not repair for example.

Gluefinger I wish they would finally give us a first generation version (F or F-13) rather than the umpteenth reboxing of this (admittedly fine) kit.

Martin von Schreckenstein and the f-13 was the only MiG-21 actually produced in the former Czechoslovakia. I too do not understand why it didn't receive attention by Eduard yet..
