Wim van der LuijtHi Folks....having ordered the the eduard spitfire now might be a good time to get some more info on the subject. I don't know the first thing about allied aircraft I've lots and lot's of books on the Luftwaffe and particularly like the Ian Allen/Classic publications.
My question is: what are good books on the Spitfire (price is not so important, anything up to ?80,- is OK)
Pic is an example of the Ian Allen series I like....[img1]
Any help is much appreciated!

Steve WilsonSaw this book mentioned in the list:
The Supermarine Spitfire: Pt. 1: Merlin Powered A Comprehensive Guide For The Modeller (Modeller's Datafile)
It's by Richard A. Franks. Who is a modeller he was Editor of "Scale Auto Modeller" a magazine, I contributed to. He's very big in aviation modelling circles, so I think this book would be a big coup for you...

Wim van der LuijtThnx Steve..I own both the modellers datafiles on the Me-109. It's also a very nice series. (which totally forgot to check for a volume on Spitfires )
Just checked and nr 1 appears to be out of print, but can still be found and nr 2 is still available through SAMI....
