Given the size of the SMK, this is a very quick and easy kit to build. I thought the individual track links would be a pain but they practically fell together. All the running gear fits tightly without cement so you can easily drape the the tracks around them to add a slight sag. After it sets, you can then pop off the drive sprocket and idler wheel for easy painting of the tracks.
The only tricky part for me was the first few steps of the main turret construction. I would recommend cementing the two halves together and then attach the top at the same time. The instructions have you install the rear MG while cementing the two halves together. I found this fiddly. Plus, by adding the top at the same time as the two halves, it gives you wiggle room to adjust the fit of the assembly.
Though it doesn't say it, if you cut the brass wire in half, it will be the right length for both sides of the towing cable. Also, parts E7 and E8 require you to drape them under two A27 sections so don't assemble the cables ahead of time or you will have trouble.
Overall, a nice, unique, big early war tank. Because of the ease of construction, I would highly recommend it!
