TBD-1 in 1/72 scale from MPC Kit #1-4111 c. 1969.

Depicts TBD1 Tare-5 assigned to Lexington's Torpedo Two (VT-2) at the Battle of the Coral Sea.
Tare 5 was flown by Ensign Tom Bash who claimed hits on both Shoho and Shokaku, before narrowly escaping a shootdown on the way to home plate. Devastator 2-T-5 was found in 2018 by Paul Allen's search team in very good, salvageable condition.

Paints are Lifecolor UA025 Flat Light Gull Grey (FS34660) and a mix of 2:1 Pollyscale USN Blue Grey to MM Acryl Neutral Grey (FS36270).
Markings scrounged from various sheets or painted on. Numerals are dry transfers.
