My Hellcat-drone team-Mate Hanno already has come a long way. Let's see if I still can catch up🙂. But for this I first need an engine.
To save time I'm going to go the easy way and use 2 complete banks of cylinders from my already finished Tigercat. They were quite good.

Next model straight after Łoś? You don't waste Your time, do You? 🙂 Wires and details on engine give resin look 🙂

Adam: you are right. After Łoś I need some kind of "break"🙂. Hanno and I are going to build our drones parallel. I intend to invest more time in the finish than into detailing.

Ready for paint🙂 The most of the airplane was painted in fluorescent orange (FO). Very eye catching but not easy to manage because that the fluorescent paint do not "cover" good. Because if that I experimented first with different mixes of the fluorescent orange. First run for basis coat for overall (25% sm white H130, 25% matt yellow H154 and 50% FO H209) produced an acceptable finish.

1st step (basis coat): 25% H130 (semimatt white), 25% H154 (matt yellow), 50% H209 (fluorescent orange)
2nd step (FO-mix): 10% H130, 10% H154, 20% H174 (matt red), 60% H209,
3nd step: preshading (unusual for me) with the FO-mix.
4th step: overall FO-mix with slight irregularities (mottling) = very satisfied with the result.
5th step: masking for the last coat (red)
By the way: during my research I discovered that the upper sides of the wings and elevators were painted FO and not red as in the instructions. In my opinion only the control surfaces were painted red.

Fantastic paintjob Bernhard. Nice to see the variations in colours, always tought they were orange all over.

Alley Cat decals: the quality is excellent but the Bu.-Nr for the 004 is incorrect. Separating the wrong number and spare box helps to solve this problem.

Thank you mates!
After months and months of correcting, refining, correcting the PZL.37 Łoś I can't believe that the Hellcat drone is completed... (Except exhaust stains and flattened tires). This two last tasks tomorrow and now as usual is time for a glass of wine🙂

Stichwort, glass of wine. Bei Deiner derzeitigen Schlagzahl muss man sich wegen des Alkoholkonsums keine Gedanken machen?😉

Tonight I took the "real" pictures with my Nikon 995. I was very surprised how much the model looked like candy...🙁 It's probably the fluorescent orange in combination with red. Funny enough the 2 smartphone pictures I took yesterday look much better...

Thanks to my Drone Groupbuild mate Hanno today I realized that the rear antenna on my drone was wrong. I just corrected it: they TWO parallel wires (two last pictures).
