With a hairdryer? I know it can warp things, hence I had to redirect my Italeri's Dakota into the trash bin. But I wasn't aware you could use it for fuselage alignment issues. 😮

Is there a detail component that can be seen through the transparent part of the nose?

The nice comments and encouraging words are much appreciated👍
After the fuselage fit struggle the masks are on and for sure this thing would never win a design contest🙂

A different kind of nose art..
This kit really is a bit of a challenge in terms of sanding and filling but i will beat this thing....
The fit of the Elevators is better when you cut of the fins.

Cool project and a nice looking metal finish👍
How did you apply the true metal paint? and did you need to thin it etc?

Thank you Clifford, James and Roberto...
You just need a bit of patience it takes its time for drying but is easily added with a bristle brush for example and you can polish it with nearly everything..
here is a very good review..
Youtube Video
I would not recommend it for big areas (i used the Metal color with a gun here) but it has real great effect, is thinable and you can even blend it with other oil based colours.
To work o smaller oanels or areas or metall effects for exhausts it is perfect in my opinion. And the effect shows up with very little wax added.

not my favorite scheme or future projects 🙂
Decals are on, following fixing the small parts and coloring them.

It's a beautiful build - but I do have to say that the despite the fact there is a B-18 on display nearby, it has removed the urge to build it myself, it seems like kind of a rough kit.

Shiny? yes 👍 happy? too early for a definite answer yet 🙂
@ben Thank you sir. It is really a unique plane that you won't find that often built again in such numbers
as done by Jens and me at the same time for sure.
But the effort is rewarding though it really is a rough kit that bases on a nealy 20 Year old Short run tooling by MPM (DC-2).
But in the near future i won't do my Digby I kit for sure.
Here is a Diorama proposal for Styrene-Masochists 🙂

As someone who appreciates the inter-war period and models of lesser renown generally, this will make a really interesting curiosity arousing display piece. Easy for me to say and admire from the perspective of an observer watching someone else do the hard work. Tough build. Tips my hat to you. It's really looking good.

Fantastic metallized effect, Daniel. Am I really sure I want build my Bolo with camo?? Thinking seriously 🙂
In the South zone we are currently hovering around 30 degrees, after several weeks exceeding 40. This is unusual in the month of August, but it is very pleasant and relieving. If the climate of the North has settled in the South, welcome! Sorry 😛

@cuajete if you face the same issues with the rough surface of the WIngs i would go for the camo Version.
You are fom south spain? Yeah the climate change and its consequences becomes reality sooner as
one would have thought.
But we know about this problem for about 30 years

I really hoped that Scotland had voted for Indepedence. Now everything is complicated and unsure.

Really a beautiful build Daniel, one to be proud of - display that prominently.
Same climate woes here in New England, many days over 34C. My little bunker is not air conditioned, so I'm at the mercy of the dew point.
I really wish Connecticut could vote for independence.
Again, outstanding work Daniel!

@Lukasz thanks Mate.. This took me nearly 7 weeks and iam glad it went out nicely.
@Slavo thank you that are highly appreciated words by the "metallizer" ... Thank you Sir!
BTW: If somebody wonders that i have done engine covers black overall. That was correct with the No 61.
Special Hobby made a small mistake there. Normally only the inner sides were black as glare protection but in the field the whole engine housing
were black with this particular plane.
