These pictures start the construction of a really unusual airoplane: half boat, mainly aeroplane... it should be a 'winner'. It looks a bit like the 1920s version of a Batmobile to me....

Thank you for interest and words!
The pictures show a few impressions from this morning: the assemblies are mounted except for the filigree ones that are in danger of breaking. This shell will now be filled and sanded - care will have to be taken to ensure that the fine structures are not lost!

Dang Roland you have some really cool kits. I thought your last one was interesting. It just keeps getting better.

There's a bit more to it here too: I prepared the attachment of the hydro foils by inserting metal pegs into small holes, otherwise the blunt gluing of the components seemed too unsafe. The white that you can see in the first two pictures was supplemented with a layer of yellow paint before the red was applied. Now the Piaggio Pegna PC 7 is heading for 'golden times': I want to apply the brass of the evaporative cooler with Alclad colours soon.

It almost went faster than I thought: today I was able to take a few photos of the Piaggio Pegna PC-7, which has already been completed. I have to say, as unusual as the shape and concept of this experimental racing machine was, its shapes are very attractive to photograph!
The kit from AMP is really a nice and really not complicated base for building this unusual aeroplane. The only addition I found necessary were the twelve exhaust tips, which are not included in the kit. I recreated these with stripped cable insulation.
After this dress rehearsal, I'm really looking forward to the two Macchi MC.72s - the most beautiful aeroplane in the world in my opinion 🙂
One small point of criticism: AMP could have included a jacking device... but since this was missing, I made two of the wooden blocks myself based on photos - well, it wasn't a bad experience either
Thanks for your encouraging comments and interested company, mates!

Good job, Roland! (and I agree that Macchi MC.72 is the most beautiful plane ever - I've seen her in Vigna di Valle museum, twice! 😉 )
