Cheers friends! After the Neptune, I needed a palette cleanser build, so I reached for a long-neglected kit from SH I promised I would build too long ago. It's a OOB (well, 98%ish) and a lightning build by my standards. Hope you enjoy, it truly is an excellent kit.

Ha, Alec and OOB project! Who would believe this 🙂
Very nice work so far, mate. I built a bigger sister of her ( Eduard bf 109E-7) and i remember, that put those parts of fuselage nose together is not a piece of cake.

Čau Jakube, well not many, but as this is already done I can wouch for the veracity of my claim 😉
As to the kit: the nose assembly was indeed a bit of a puzzle, but very doable. I wonder how closely SH and Eduard cooperated on this, the kit feels very Edíkovskej. Overall, a joy to put together. Cheers!

Nice start Alec - I laughed after seeing the title "palette cleanser" but no doubt for sanity you needed one after that amazing Neptune build. I had a similar need for a palette cleanser after my JRS-1 build, and that was nothing compared to your Neptune!

Thanks guys! The comic relief is not my own (saw it put that way by someone), but it does exemplify the woes of someone afflicted with AMS. Mind you, the Neptune started as an OOB…

Nice progress Alec. The weathering made with those Tamiya sets looks cool.

Hi buddy, excellent built indeed!! I see you are the lucky one because my piece had parts of rivet lines randomly missing, or fading 🙁 It was so bad that I decided to put it away instead of loosing my time with trying to fix it. I will go on with Tamyia E's when I need to expand my SW collection.

Thank you all for stopping by. I have uploaded the completed model pics.
Ahoj Davo! Thanks very much. My kit was flawless, so can't really complain there. I must say that I have become partial to rivets, which puts my rivet-free kits in mortal danger... 😄

Beautiful result Alec!
It's always a pleasure to read though your build logs.

Alec, what a beautiful model! Really well done! I started using the Tamiya weathering sets recently and really like them.
Hope the palette is now cleansed. 🙂 What's next?

Thanks very much guys! It was a relaxing build, I have not had one of those in a while (this thing we do is really NOT a hobby..).
What's next? Something jet-like, I think 😉

Excellent result, Alec!
I hope the jet will be Czechoslovak. Delfín or Albatros 😉

Aha! Those are definitely on the list. Alas, next one will be of slightly earlier vintage and from a less savory kit producer 😉. But, it will sport the Czech rounders 👍
