Mig-19 salvaging old kit - during Covid 19

 

 

 

after removing the paint big cleaning in soapy water  

here what is now what I could recollect from various pieces old decal and i found the notice. several small pieces are missing.  

the glue did not really hold and attack all the joint on the fuselage damaging raised pannel lines and rivet.  

same here some pieces were glued in wrong position apparently. Some tentative to fill in some areas but look messy. need to be redone  

view of the above nice raised old fashion detail I tried to preserve them. not very good filling to be redone.  

the KP kit is basic in detail (wheels, seat, rocket pods but propose a pilot (not sure it is at scale)

still the closure of the landing gear is not perfect but I did not manage to get better.  

still a lot of imperfection but I cannot sand too much without removing the raised details and going on massive rescribing. I hope I will do better with the next one.

final coat for the metallic effect. the bottom is not very nice and neat but it is the max I could get of this model with my skills.
