Hoton-Stanford Airport

Hoton-Stanford Airport HST/EGWY is currently the newest commercial airport in Great Britain and holds a 100% safty record since the start of operations on 29/01/2020.

Only one accident has been reported in 3 years.
In August 2023 a Ukrainian Air Force Antonov AN-12BK-PPS arrived after an Air-2-Air Refueling sortie and on landing its left main landing gear collapsed and it slid off to the left of the Runway.
Nobody got injured and the aircraft was quickly repaired and back flying again within the month!

2020 saw the first ever passenger flight from Hoton-Stanford Airport since it closed as RAF Wymeswold in the 1960's.
That flight was operated by a Milford Sound Flightseeing
Britten-Norman BN-2 Islander G-ADBV which was operated
on behalf of Aurigny Airways.

We are located 13 miles North of Leicester City Centre & 4 miles East of Loughborough.

With 2020 being the first operational year for Hoton-Stanford and 2021 & 2022 being hugely successful with 2 extra Airlines coming online in our scheduled passenger services our subjected annual passenger figures are, 2021: & 2022:
We plan in the future to have cargo pass through Hoton
using our own facilities.

Cargo: Plans for 1 Cargo building and ramp - TBC

Hangers: 1 Large, 1 Small & 1 Hardened Aircraft Shelter

Runways: 24 & 06 at approximately 2000 metres.

Maximum Aircraft Size: Boeing 737-700

Parking is "STRACTLY PROHIBITED" outside the Terminal building.

Smoking is not Prohibited inside the Terminal Buildings, except in designated areas.

Passengers are advised to arrive 2 hours prior to departure time to make check-in and security checks as smooth as possible.

After the the tragedy that happened in the Ukraine ?? Cavok Airlines was left no choice but to escape to ab Airport in Moldova.
Thinklgs haven't been working out too well though due to various reasons but Hoton-Stanford Airport has been chosen as their new forward operating base until one day they return to Ukraine!
