No, Priens boat was a very early Typ VII. This is U 1004. No 8,8cm but more AA. Thanks for watching; )

Holger KranichThe fourth u boat flotilla used the mad cow as their callsign, after Priens ambush at Scapa Flow. Very interesting is the fact that the, the captain of 1004 was de-promoted to rank of a private. He did not make enough sunken BRT after coming back to La Rochelle.

Martin OostromThanks for the history lesson Holger. It sounds crazy to demote a captain to private, perhaps XO was better. But the regime at that time isn't known for making logical decisions.
