Kit was built and decalled somewhere in the late 1990s. Last year I accidentially bought the same decal sheet in the internets. So now it's time to clean it, repaint and redecal 🙂

The old ones were very good, but nobody in the 90s in Poland even dreamt of something called decal softeners, so this set should work good enough. Currently the kit is drowned in drain cleaner to get rid of old decals and paint.

Very nice decoration, Łukasz. Restoration looks good so far, although you have issues with the decal sheet.
I'm glad that the old kits have a second chance and do not end their days in garbage, missing in the forget or with his pieces fallen like they have the leprosy.

Thanks, I have couple of them, which are good enough to be revived, other will be trashed or will disappear under dust (and suffer the leprosy😉 ). The current list is: Hornet, Vark & Canberra (planned).
I hope the fit at the front will be less visible after Micro Sol. If not, I'll have to find a matching colour... 🤔

Managed to paint the top of the nose using Hataka's Gunship Grey and blending it into the tiger decals (they are bit darker). Added all the details, I have only to seal the 'cannon inlets' (decals and marker) and then to varnish it matt overall.

That was a difficult task... I can only imagine what awaits me when I do the tiger-nado... 😉

Well, I should have painted the camo from the beginning instead of using those decals. I thought they will make it easier, but it turned out other way around...

It has been squashed on top, probably packed too tight.
Btw. I have to correct the canopy framing (as usual), I decided to use a string of painted decal. Hopefully this will be the last thing to take care of.

Finished my dear followers! Last 2 days I spent on the canopy frame, I had to use painted decal strip and it still doesn't look too good. But I have to live with it. Still better than before restoration 🙂

Hello Łukasz. I think you hardly notice the problem with the canopy. It is well resolved. I love this painting scheme! I wonder if there will be decals available in the market...
Very nice. Congrats!

Thank you guys. Cuajete, I think nobody else released this decal set in 1/72. But to be honest, it would be better to order masks and use some generic RCAF decals with appriopriate numbers. The Revell's decals were dissapointing in terms of their fit, transparency and accuracy.
You can also try to find the very similar decal set: CAF CF-18 439 Tiger Meet Spe.. (Leading Edge 72.037, 1:72)

Thank you, not my best effort 🙂 but I also thought this camo is worth a restoration project
