C-27J Спартан (Spartan)

1912 on this meadow said for the first time an airplane. On September 16, 1937, Tsar Boris III signed a decree declaring the lands in the village of Vrazhdebna for the construction of an airport. The 16th Transport Aviation Regiment is now located there. It will add, above the plane you can see the mountain Vitosha. 

On November 13, 2007, the Bulgarian Air Force received the first of three C-27J Spartan aircraft. 

I do not know that the Bulgarian Spartans participated in the transport of soldiers in military operations. In addition to the training of the Vonni, they very often participate in the transport for the needs of sick people.
