The horrible Revell Fuchs (as wrong in so many places) with the so-la-la MR Modellbau interior. Count me in.

Be aware about the mistakes of the Eduard set, namely the perforated window covers. The voyager set for the Fuchs is convincing if it is still an option.

I know, Michael. That is why most of the parts are in process to be modiffied.
Unfortunately, a British Fuchs means most of the parts will go to the dustbin. And, as personal preference, clear windows in doors shall be applied.
As I am not the faster modeler of the world, I think this will be a long run model.
I bought the kit as a whole (Revell+MR Modellbau+Edouard PE) many years ago. But I will look for the Voyager set, so I need to thank you, mate, as I did not heard about that.

Take your time. I follow. If your budget allows it, consider resin wheels. They are a huge improvement over the kits rubber ones.

Wheels are being considered. I only need confirmation (either by photographs or by a veteran) of the model used. Ones in the kit are the Michelin 1st pattern (up to 1990 available), and those in aftermarket sets are Michelin 2nd and 3rd pattern or Goodyear. If Dunlop, I think my only option is to scrap ones from 2 Saxon or scrap-build them.
And I thought Chieftain smoke dischargers would be a nightmare.. 🤣
Main problems regarding Fuchs in Op Granby are the low quality of photos available (digital cameras were still an almost inexistent luxury back in the day) and contradictory information available. Number of vehicles (varies from 4 to 😎, mates involved, etc.
Even this model is (theoreticaly) a Dragoon Guards item: my research found crews were mixed (Army and RAF Regt personnel) and not more than 3 dragoon guards were involved. Even more: the Dragoon Guards seal in the front was an sticker applied by a lone chap to denote some kind of proud than possesion.
So, again, maybe a lot of imaginarium will be added.
Nevertheless, glad to know this particular vehicle 12 KK 41 is still in service and had another tour in Irak in the XXI century (fact that is much better documented than the one in the nineties).

good luck with that one. Thanx for the info. I didn´t even know the Brits used the Fox too. I was only aware of the Americans and the Israelis for a short time. But as far as I know they only used the NBC-version (but not sure on that).

Yes, BRD army provided some surplus NBC to several countries in 1990 for Desert Shield and Britain was one of them. I think under lease conditions. As far as I know, US Army already had them as M83? Fox (sorry, I am far to be an expert on US equipment and terminology).
Now, those 90s vehicles are still in service in the British Army and are going to be updated after being converted to NRBC recon platforms.

You did a good job on the interior. With the big windshield the empty hole Revell left is really annoying. The MR Model driver cabin is a massive improvement.

Thanks, Michael. Really, I do not know if totally accurate in historical terms, as info available is not very big. I based my research in some veteran es says and stories, as well as the few photographs I managed to get from them.
Pityful, I was not able to obtain the Voyager Models kit, as I found it is completely depleted.
Nevertheless, I managed to get some scratch built parts to solve main problems with PE parts.

Hi, David: nice to see my work could be useful. Now, I am thinking on making the same Fox a decade later in Irak again.
Two notes: If you need the Clansman reel and the smoke dischargers for yours, these are now comercialy available by other firms, so there is no need to undress a Tamiya Chieftain for the purpose.
The interior parts manufactured today are much better than the ones I had, made several decades ago. Also, I think new plastic materials of actual Revell kits are much better and less prone to damage during sanding process.
