Bernhard SchrockAfter researching the original pictures I drew first a sketch with contour lines for the base plate. The original lighthouse sits on a rising sand dune (the kit offers a plain base and this is not really correct).

Bernhard SchrockThe kit contains acrylic paints which are very much like toothpaste. It is ok for large areas but not for fine parts like the railing. I was too lazy (or stupid) to go down to the basement to use my airbrush. So I invested almost 30 minutes and nearly ruined the whole thing when I brushed on the tooth paste. I barely managed to save the railing.
The kit offers paper parts for the light and fresnel lens unit. Not looking very realistic. That is why I used a piece of acrylic rod (10 mm in diameter) for the base and 12 small lenses for the 4 Fresnel's.

Bernhard SchrockHi Mates: I'm very surprised about the resonance. Paperwork modelling is very rare on SCM and obviously the are a lot of secret fans. 🙂 THX.
By the way: meanwhile I hve found the lighthouse for the next project:
