First pictures of Revells impressive He-219. Detail seems to be a little bit inattentive for that scale... or should I say, in this case Eduards etched parts are worth their money for sure!

Myself attend with a tiny scale onefourfour He-219 to this GB and I'm very impressed by all the fine work to be seen in the larger scales. The details in that scale are just amazing!

Thank you Stefan!
Some news from this "Uhu": fuselage sides are closed by now, encasing the Eduard boosted cockpit.
I did a preshading with mat black, followed by Gunzes RLM 66. After that I applied a decent washing with pastels.
Next focus will lie on the wheel bays and engine nacelles.
Thank you Stefan!

Some progress pictures of the wheel wells; you can recognize the condition without and with Eduards "exterior" etched parts attached.

Thank you mates!
Wheel wells are finished now- I have to apologize for the pictures-quality- and wings and elevators have been joined with the fuselage. Everything should be trimmed and sanded into appropriate size, so after applying the rudders I can start the paintwork.

Some progress: the wheel struts as the wheel bays have been painted- and the He-219 is (nearly) ready for preshading. At last!

Preshading has been done- rather ruff stuff for the following translucent and bright "RLM 76" to cover I guess..... 🙂

The peculiar German night-fighter camo has been applied by now- the next step will see some dirt and wear and tear being put on the surfaces- and the decals being applied, of course!

Your comments are quite motivating-thank you a lot!
Just finished the decals- but I am still hesitating, if I should apply the walkways.....

Großartiges Endergebnis Roland. Die Tarnflecken müssen je eine Höllenarbeit gewesen sein.

Well.....your words and the other friendly comments compensate for any tedious work!
But, to be honest, I had to paint in just three steps, not counting pre- and post-shading of course- and it was quite a fun 🙂
Thank you very much, Bart!
