Aegyptian Mig-15 before the Six Day War

This is Eduards Mig-15 Profipack. A dream of a modell. Fit was perfect and the kit a joy to build. The only modification were pitot tube, canon and maschine gun barrels from syringes. The only slight problem I had during assembly was at the nose section.

The landing gear was further detailed with hoses. As you see - you do not see anything.

...and pilot are from a set from CMK. I had no information whatsoever about the uniforms of egyptian airplane mechanics nor about egyptian pilot suits. So the mechanics uniform is pure fantasy, For the pilots suit I guessed that the russians delivered gear with the planes and that they were russian stile and thus green.

The base is made from plaster of paris on top of a sample slate for a kitchen working area. It should represent an aegyptian airfield in the middle of the fifties.
