Used bleach to remove overly thick chrome from most of the chrome parts. White based the body and black based the metallic parts which were painted with various vallejo air metal colors for engine, suspension, etc.
I thinned the water-based acrylic fluorescent paints with Pledge, and varnished with Pledge before decaling. I did not seal over the excellent 3rd party decals. Used molotow chrome 2mm pen for rims.

Thank you! Three virtually identical cars started the race. Given the speeds they were running, the car numbers were difficult to see, so they made subtle color changes to ease identification for the teams and also for timing & scoring. Painting the left front tire yellow was pretty extreme - I'm not aware of any other instance of this being done, at least at Indy.
