Velorex
The main parts of the kit cut, sanded, primed and highlighted.
The vehicle is small in real life and so it is pretty small in scale 1:72. 😉

Main parts colored and assembled.
I chose an all aluminum steering wheel over a black one (both existed)
Main work is done.
I've been too quick to glue the 'hood' and forgot the fenders. So I had to divide the part that comprised both fenders and attach them separately. Quite a flimsy matter.
Rough idea for a little vignette.
My first tests with the pattern roller for a strech of cobblestone street. Some tiles for the pavement. Material: DasPronto modelling clay.
Ok. after adding all the bits and pieces I call this one done.
Molecular modelling with part size down to 0,5 mm.
Only the rear view mirror and the id-plate is scratched. Everything else is part of the kit
A few minor flaws, but bottomline I am happy with the result. The representation of the drive train chain with a clear part gives a very convincing result. A bit of sanding of the tires assures solid ground contact.
Very very light weathering with a few pigments. Just to show that it is used but very well kept.
For whatever reasons I like this vehicle. And Eduards kit is a gem.
And one for an idea of its size. The exhaust mufflers have been drilled open with a 0.3 mm drill.
Next will be modelling for the clamfisted again: painting a 1:72 figure 😉
I decided against all the figures in my first layout as they distract too much attention away from the vehicle.
This one remained to give a sense of scale.

Finished the figure in a nice modelling session with a friend. A bit shiny though. Will receive a coat of matt varnish. Then it should be done.
Base is ready. Final shots will follow.
Calling this one done.
As usual not perfect but bottomline I am quite happy with the result.

Welcome Alec. The clear parts are so incredibly tiny, they stretch my painting skills to the limit - and beyond I am afraid. 🙂

I'm normally not very intrested in vehicles, but your project looks very interesting. I'm in.

Great job, Michael - especially on all the wee lamps and pins.
