Łukasz GlińskiGlad to read your comments Thomas & Cuajete. Unfortunately I have bad news - I inspected the kit and the canopy is missing 🙁
Wondering what to do now:
- use the Inplast set with recessed panel lines and sacrifice the Heller boxing, by stealing the canopy;
- use the Heller set with raised panel lines and leave the Inplast set for the Archive X.

Łukasz GlińskiWelcome Daniel 👍 Well, I decided to steal the canopy from Heller set and stick to Inplast sprues for their recessed lines (and sentiment!). Need to find a reasonable driver too.

Łukasz GlińskiThank you both. Well, this particular set seems to come from two different series, as the kit is not symmetrical indeed. However the previous one was much better and I built it twice actually 😄

Łukasz GlińskiSurprise my friend, here the Tamiya and Academy are really hard to find 😛 Italeri seems to be most limited of them all.
Kits were actually 2, but I restored the US one few years ago.

Robert Podkoński@Łukasz: I am not sure if I managed to keep the symmetry on my Czaplas then 😉 All in all, it is quite a complex machine to assemple with its parasol wing and multi-strut fixed undercarriage... Maybe we should launch the Czapla Build Group here one day? 😄

CuajeteŁukasz, good job with P-50. I have that kit and I can confirm that the canopy is the worst I have ever seen. I hope that one day I will be able to get a vacum copy because I don't know if I will be able to sand and polish that plastic chunk, 😄
I'm sorry that it is not easy to get Academy or Tamiya in Poland :/

Łukasz GlińskiAs far as I recall I tried to use the transparent plastic as a replacement, as its canopy is not round at all (at least that was the knowledge I had while building it). That's a bit of OT, isn't it? 😄

Robert Podkoński@Cuajete: generally Tamiya and Academy kits are available in Poland, yet they are relatively pricey here and new offerings arrive a bit later than in other EU countries (the same is with respect to Airfix kits - I am still waiting for a HP 42 to arrive to my LHS...and I live in a big city...)

Bummer! The Heller decals turned out to be simply out of register 🙁 That means it won't be a quick build, I need to source them from somewhere.
The Inplast set doesn't help (see pic #1) 😄
Anybody having spare Italeri kit maybe? 😉

Heller kit is way better detailed with two notable exceptions: raised panel lines and decals out of register here and there.

CuajeteYou're welcome, but take care. Omicron's incidence curve has started out strong here, despite high levels of vaccination (here we are in the sixth wave). I hope that when you come, the infections curve has dropped to pre-Omicron levels in Spain. No drastic measures no strong restrictions are being taken to avoid contagions, so these will rise long after the holidays.
