Well another Japanese bird from Daniel. Very interesting for me. There is also one in my stash. So I'll take a seat.

Hm, the fit of the Cowlings and nacelles could have been better.. Well still some work to do.
It is just a test fit but you see it clearly even without primer.. 🙂
Also did some sanding and rescribing of wrong fuselage panels by HAsegawa

Welcome Slavo, all those window and interior stuff with japanese planes could really be troublesome during building..🙂 Especially you have to glue the clearparts before fixing to the fuselage. But in the end i love those flying Greenhouses 🙂

That is a fair amount of canopy masking. 🙂 I've noticed that some people use 'Parrafilm M' for masking canopies, have you ever tried that Daniel? (They stretch it sideways, one way, then lay and push it onto the canopy parts, apparently slightly adhesive that way, then they cut away excess with a sharp blade).
I ordered some of the stuff recently so I will get to try it out, otherwise I am used to using Tamiya masking tape.

Your planes could not have been built on an assembly line, the bearings of that line would be glowing! Impressive progress 👍

Fantastic work Daniel:
Bought this kit a few days ago again to build it with the Ohka.
Sadly Tamiya has no G4M2E in 48... 🙁

Thank you Stephan 👍 a bit annoying is the fact that the aircraft fin and rudder spread and now there is a small gap visible. I heard a rather silent crack too. Now i will try to fix it with tamiya extra thin

Hi Daniel, nice photos of a nice result. Did you use some "rusty" washes or something similar for your finishing? I think it is visible on the tail part of the plane and near upper turret on the last picture.
Thanks David

Thank you very much for you positive and encouraging words Gary, Augustin, Jens, Cuajete and Daniel 👍
They are so welcome and much appreciated 👍
I was struggling with myselr about the worn look in the original pic. But i decided not to do her that way because that heavily battered look,
destroys the real elegant and clean design of that Plane, that i wanted to dispay.
my next Betty will be a wornout and batterd chipping orgy 🙂

So the perfectly cucumber-shape & colored Betty now got an appropriately themed cutting board!😉
Not that it needed much in terms of an upgrade - but this definitely is one - looks great on the background and beautiful photo-shoot too! 👍

Lighting and Background makes a big difference indeed. The only thing that bothers me a bit is this nose antenna.
But its got to be there 🙂

Well done Daniel! I really like the fading and shading on the wings. I just started my first Japanese subject (a Zero) and am sinking into the quicksand of the color and weathering nuances of modeling these planes.

Wow, this one was a great job as well, you're one heck of a modeler Daniel! I'm really glad to see how much effort Hasegawa put into making this modern modeling rendition of the Betty. A while back I bought a model of Hasegawa's older G4M1, which also came with the Ohka in it's 1991 release, to replace one that had been destroyed during a burglary and vandalization of our home in the winter of 2012/2013. Acquiring this one could give me some pointers on how to scratch-build a decent interior for her and have the later model G4M2 situated next to her when it's done and over! I do have one question; What paint do you use for the brown color of many IJN propellers?

@Daniel Thanks for the info on the propeller color. I had a good laugh when I saw the name of this paint is literally "Propeller Color." I kind of feel dumb for not having found this previously. Due to Testors discontinuing their Model Master line of paint I'm nearly finished with transitioning to AMMO of Mig, Tamiya and Mr. Color acrylics. I'm kind of embarrassed to see how different Model Master's colors were from these more reputable brands. IF I remember correctly all of my previously built WW2 Japanese aircraft, which called for brown props, had them painted in Testors Matt Rust because the color looked "fairly close." -_-;
I was also curious about the base you were using too so I'm glad someone else asked.
