April 28, 2021Glueing the seatbelts in place was torture and resulted in a lot of glue on the seat cushions themselves. Also, every photo I found shows the seatbelts as black or dark gray, not spotted periwinkle blue.3

April 28, 2021Figures by Reedoak, cockpit detail set by Eduard. I tried using a black wash to give the uniforms more depth - it looks decent in person but in photos the figures look like their legs are melting.6
April 28, 2021Photo of the instrument panel from Eduard. The gauges were scratchmade and printed on photo paper because the Eduard set was missing the instrument panel sticker.7
April 28, 2021Another view of the pilot and copilot. Looks like I used too much flash in the photo. 🙂8
April 28, 2021Another view, sans flash.9

May 2, 2021The workbench is getting a bit crowded...12
May 2, 2021Only photo I could find of an older UH-60 armed with Hellfire missiles. It will look vaguely like this but with external fuel tanks and painted FS34087 Olive Drab.13
September 26, 2021Not the best photo, but this is what it should look like.14
May 11, 2021I’m not sure if the crew chief figure is too big, the window is too low, or the chair is too high, but I don’t think his knees should be visible.15
October 2, 2021In most photos the gunner’s knees aren’t visible but in this one they are. I’ll just say the gunner is a big guy. 🙂

October 5, 2021These photoetch side antennas are a nightmare. I should’ve stuck with the plastic ones in the kit.17
October 17, 2021Slowly making progress. Had some trouble keeping the windshield in place while it dried.18
October 17, 2021Might finally be ready for priming today. Only knocked off various antennas about a dozen times so far…19
January 4, 2022Knock on wood, it looks like I’m finally done painting the body. Not perfect, but not bad considering I ran out of paint and then got rained on while using water-based acrylics.20
January 4, 2022Right side view.21
January 4, 2022Not satisfied with the nose, but I’m just going to live with it. I’m not painting it for a fourth time.22
January 4, 2022Also, how the hell did I knock one of the gunner’s seats loose while airbrushing???23

January 10, 2022Look who can finally stand on her own!25
January 10, 2022Another view.
