1/72 Nashorn Sd. Kfz. 164,

I needed a break after making the RFM Panther so I decided to build a small scale revell kit out of the Box. The kit is relatively easy to assemble but the exposed fighting compartment and the 88 mm gun have some interesting detail.

I primed all the parts gray and then airbrushed Vallejo Air Dunkelgelb everything. I applied hair spray over this to do some weathering after I applied Vallejo Air white for the winter camo as it appeared on the Eastern front in 1943. I did the detail painting of the wheels with a black acrylic paint pen. I used an old brush to scrub through the white coat to show the dunklegreb below on areas of wear. I finished the weathering using Flory Grime.

A nice break after a major build which only took a couple of days.
