I'm planning to have this bird as a D-Day marked Glider Tower with all its bomb bay doors open with 18 trainer bombs loaded inside.
Also like the BBMF's Lancaster PA474 and my Halifax B.III this stirling will serve to represent as many Stirlings as feasibly possible using as many different markings from the decal sheets from both the Airfix and Italeri kits as possible.
So far the markings will be:
L1930 will be the aircraft Registration on both sides - RAF Fairford
I will be painting the D-Day Landing Stripes all over the aircraft.
Righthand Side:
Squadron code - EX@L - RAF Lakenheath
Noseart from LK171
Noseart from 5G
Lefthand Side:
Squadron code - MG@K - N3709 - RAF Oakington - Left Side
Noseart from LK129
