So, heres my made up story on a modern Jetstar:
She is currently parked in a Hanger at Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport in Florida USA.
Unfortunately, but unsurprisingly she is currently unairworthy and will require an extensive overhaul/rebuild and a major upgrade
For this we have hired her birth parents Lockheed Martin!
As already stated they have been contracteģhd to totally rebuild her and upgrade her to modern standards, essentially making our JetStar a brand new aircraft!
They will be using a Lockheed C-5M Super Galexy to fly her from her currant home to RAF Boscombe-Down
Another thing that will be upgraded is the cockpit, avionics and wing fuel tanks.
She will feature a full glass cockpit, modern day avionics, flight controls and she currently has the old and smaller integrated wing fuel tanks.
She will be converted to the later lowered fuel tanks which were featured on the Jetstar II.
Lockheed's new designation for here will be "Lockheed Martin L-1329B Jetstar"
She will be re-registered to G-SASL on the CAA Database.
The currently planned time frame for this project by Lockheed Martin is around 2 years but will give us a brand new Jetstar that has the ability to fly for decades to come!
