Mig-21R (94R)
![Album image #1 Album image #1](/albums/img/7/6/5/1474765-37811-60-720.jpg)
Parts from KP MiG-21R set - used because Eduard do not released set with this version in 1/72 scale.

Something managed to carve. It's not great, but the plastic is some very soft.... I tried to correct some of the lines and immediately carved the canyons. I sealed with CA and decided not to try more. I added a flare tray and that was it.
![Album image #3 Album image #3](/albums/img/8/0/9/1475809-37811-58-720.jpg)
I adjusted the tray to the curves of Eduard's fuselage - for now on Blue Tac, but it seems to fit quite well 🙂

Someone gave me better documentation - corrected flare inserts. It will stay that way 🙂

A plan to "transplant" the cockpit from the MiG-21PFM to the MiG-21R (MiG-21MF).

Operation successful...

Progress has been slow lately, but sometimes you have to work 🙂
Today just a quick look at the nozzles. On the MiG-21MF, I added something from myself to the exhaust nozzles in order to make them more like the original and not to make money for Eduard on the aftermarkets 😛 . This time I decided to go a step further - instead of 0.5mm PVC single row "big teeth" I make two rows of 0.2mm PVC " thinner teeth". The effect is so satisfactory that I am thinking about copying it in resin, because
after all, the "R" is not to be the last version I plan to glue 🙂

![Album image #21 Album image #21](/albums/img/1/9/1/1501191-37811-88-720.jpg)

Looking for a colour 😉 "Ashy" - I think that 1 drop of black in 1 hundred of white this is it 😉 (compared to light grey MiG-21MF-75 with white rocket)
![Album image #24 Album image #24](/albums/img/1/8/1/1502181-37811-63-720.jpg)
First layer of the target colour ("ashy")

Second layer of the target colour ("ashy") (in background light grey MiG-21MF-75) - I'm quite satisfied.
![Album image #27 Album image #27](/albums/img/3/2/9/1504329-37811-72-720.jpg)
Preparing decals & stencils (just for fun - I don't have a printer which can print so small letters)
![Album image #28 Album image #28](/albums/img/1/1/7/1506117-37811-53-720.jpg)
Stencils in progress 😉
![Album image #29 Album image #29](/albums/img/7/0/1/1506701-37811-39-720.jpg)
Repair 🙁 During preparation I totally forgot that "Rs" have not a gun! So why my have a port to load an ammo? CA, sandpaper, paints... and fortunately the result is (for me) acceptable 🙂
![Album image #30 Album image #30](/albums/img/3/4/6/1507346-37811-70-720.jpg)
Stencils - finished 🙂 Sometimes they were arranged densely
