1/76 Vehicles & Equipment HHrA
All built ready for paint.
I have moved onto building the Revell GPU.
They didn't have a hitch on the front so that was left off.
Instead of using the kits front bumper I used abit of spare plastic and glued it on again to replicate the tube I used to drive.
I also used abit of clear sprue with a hole in the middle and rounded off top as a beacon light that is mandatory at any airport.

I modified the rear hitch to imitate the tugs I used to work with.
After nearly a decade of this vehicle being partly started I finally I got the nads in gear to find all the bits for the EBT.
This marks the start of my joint airport diorama and layout.

Closer view.
The Ground Power Unit is looking better.
Wheels on.
I painted the base colour black, masked for the top and finished with US Dark Green.
The back has been masked up too.
Another little thing I wanted to do.
I cut the Towbar off and installed some magnets, 1 into the GPU and 2 into the Towbar which makes it possible to have it either stowed(brakes on) or extended.

The Instrument Panel has been masked.
I have made the decision to adjust the paint work on the Ground Power Unit.
I restarted with using 3mm Tamiya tape as a test to visualise how big I needed the control panel to be.

I then removed the masking tape and hand painted the black as I am now confident how big I want the control panel!
I then used leftover bits off an Airfix Red Arrows 50th Hawk to create an instrument panel similar to the ones I used to work with.

Hitch has been dry fitted.
I'm going to use the 2nd hitch that came with the Revell EBT as the Hasegawa Ford Tractor doesn't come with a front hitch and it will need 1 as it will be used to push aircraft back.
Built it!
Now for the Hasegawa Ford Tractor.
I love the engine detail!
All finished!
The Hasegawa Ford Tractor didn't come with any wheel axles so I cut 2 pieces of 0.81mm rod.
All built and primed.
All details painted and wheels attached
Primed white and top coated Yellow.
Next is the Revell Aircraft Towbar.
Both Hasegawa Ford Tractor and Revell Aircraft Towbar attached to Hasegawa F-15B.
Another view.
Looking good in my eyes.
And all finished.
Zvezda's wheel chocks built & painted in 1 night.
Here is abit of testing to see if they all worked together.
Close up.
IMHO they definitely do work together as I find memories coming back when I look at these pictures.
The plan is a repaint to make it a more realistic looking colour.
I've had this crew ladder for a while now but I've never known were it came from.
My wife did a great job painting them US Dark Green.
There all fully finished now.
Just a few more items from that set to go.

More of Hasegawa's Ground Support Set has been built.
And I used some spare Hawk T.1 cockpit decals for the instruments.
Detailed
Motorized hydraulic ordinance lift has been finishes.
The RAF once used the Mercedes-Benz Unimog to maneuver their Harriers.
For a long time HHrA couldn't seem to track any down.
HHrA finally got our Unimogs!

All she needs is a front towbar attachment Mod and she'll be fully capable of service!
I went searching through the Matchbox collection and found a second one!
I've decided to name them all.
The Green Uni is Jurgen Klopp and the Blue Uni is Toto Wolff.
