Looking forwards to this getting your usual masterful treatment Daniel. This was one of my first kits as I returned to modelling and I loved it. Have fun. 👍.

Hello Ben and Gary and a warm welcome to you Mates..
But a little patience is needed here because the ineterior (though not much will be séen in the end) is more than overdone by Trumpeter.
So it will take a while before progress will be seen her🙂

"Wow!!! And you will see nearly nothing in the end." So, why bother ? 😛
What camo? Checkerboards perhaps?

Also with the crazy PART set for the bomb bay? _THAT_ would be a "real Etching orgy" (borrowed from your intro text) 😉

Hi cuajete and Oleg!
Thanks mates, but you will really see nothing after all!
If you wonder about the red brown parts!
They used a red brown primer coat outside that soaked into the fabric skin !

Hi, Trumpeter did a good job with the montage of the wings and Ailerons👍
You can easily take them off for painting or transport and the fit is very good!

Hi Daniel, I did wonder about the scaling of this Wimpy when I finished mine as it does not seem very big when sat alongside a 1:72 Spitfire for example. Having not seen two such aircraft side by side in real life I wasn't sure. So do we think the plane is undersized or the figures oversized, I'm just not sure? Genuine question? But should a 1:72 scaled anything, sat alongside a 1:72 scale something else, accurately reflect the proportions of their real-life counterparts?

Decals looks so good, Daniel. Did the decals adapt well to the skeletal cloth of the model?

Thank you very much mates for your warm and nice comments 👍
The decals are not that good and a lot of Gunzes Softener was needed.
But the biggest mistake as always had been made by the modeler. I confused the position for the exhausts with the ones for the Mk.I.
Trumpeter does not note that in their manual that you just have to change the cowlings with each other but a good look at reference pics would have helped.
So stupid but i will put the blame for this to my lack of experience with RAF planes. 🙂

Very nice finish mate! The rear fuselage is a bit too clean indeed, but I love the fabric shading on the wings, turned out great 👍

Thanks mates, very much appreciate your kind words.....
And you really got a point there Lochsa and Lukasz.. I think i should add a bit of dust and rainmarks there too
But anyway there are a few things more that went wrong. As already mentioned i confused the positions of the exhaust with the Mk.IC
Hence the reargun on the backboard side went missing so i have to wait for replacement..

Great finish here!
I really like how you present all these objects together.
The overall impression looks very harmonious!
Good choice of colors.
The colour scheme inside is also excellent.

This will be a real Etching orgy.. Trumpeter already packed over 100 parts in the interior detailing and edard added 3 full sheets in their etching part set..
Wow!!! And you will see nearly nothing in the end.
