Hi, I was wondering if you ever went back to that kit, the repair wouldn't be that hard, with a small clamp, almost close the gap, put liquid cement, close the gap, you can put masking tape to putty and sand locally. That's too bad it was almost finished, does Maya knew anything about that incident? I just finished the CV8 Hornet. Good continuation.

Hi Yves, so far I didn't come back to this build mainly because I would need to do panel lines again after fixing the gap which took a lot of my time doing masking and I will have to go through this again. Even though she has a Japanese namesake, Maya is very respectful to my models even if they are American vessels and she is mainly interested in sleeping their box as I progress with the build and empty it. Currently I'm onboard but when I go back home maybe I would give it another shot in a sea base to cover this damage. I would love to see your builds as well.
