Thanks fellas, building is mostly done, I'm just waiting for a metal MG34 for hull mount and then I will start priming this kitty

Since the welding seams and wires are so seriously detailed, might just add the metal tracks too.

Yeah I would love to give them a shot but they are really expensive so I don't know if I should do such an investment into an anime tank ? . But for the other Tiger, which won't be a fictional vehicle, since I took its DS track to use on this kit, I will have to get a replacement, which is likely to be a metal one

If your anime tank has this level of build, I can't imagine how good your historical one will be...

Looks great, Ahmet. Taking a seat. 👍
I should have used other tracks on my GuP Tiger instead of the rubber ones. Really makes a difference, seeing yours.
That texture looks really nice as well. Is that putty mixed with glue?

Thanks WG! Personally I like nothing about rubber tracks but as it's a fictional vehicle and I don't want to do any more investments on this tank, I used them. But the real Tiger gonna have some nice 3D print or metal tracks for sure ?
And also I like your GuP Tiger, great work my friend ?
And as for the texture, it's just like you said. I'm copying techniques from Uncle Night Shift 🙂

Welcome Augie! Btw It's my first time seeing a 3-star member so I hope you don't mind my question; do you know how does the star system work?

Thank you very much, Ahmet. Much appreciated. 🙂
Though, I had some problems with that kit. The rubber tracks are one of the reasons, I don't like those very much either.
I don't build tanks very often and most of those I have in my stash and on my shelf have these rubber tracks. It is hard to get them to look right.
Maybe there is a good way to deal with them that I don't know yet but I prefer segment tracks or what they are called. To me they are easier to handle.
3D printed tracks sound interesting, too. Already connected segments or single link?
Yes, Uncle Night Shift's videos are enteraining. I've seen some techniques I want to try out myself, too. Like the armor texture or some of the chipping.

I wonder what are the other problems with the kit, I would be glad to be prepared for them before facing them during building stage.
As for tracks, I completely agree with you, link & length tracks are better and easier to get a realistic result. Tiger I Initial Type Mirror ..e Field Model RM-2019, 1:35)
3D printed tracks are like plastic workable tracks but you don't need to do a clean-up just remove the connection lines and add the pins. For me, Uncle is the one of the most honest builders in YT so I recommend you to give a shot to his techniques, I am pretty amazed by the feasibility of them.

Yeah Night's techniques are really good, just very time consuming, but certainly they are very feasible if one decides to invest the time..

Hmm.. let's see.
I had some problems putting the parts of the hull together. The deck and the angled part at the front didn't want to fit. I struggled some time until they all fit together with the lower part of the hull. It was almost as if one part was a little bit too large.
Then the "pipes" on top of the engine deck. To me, the instruction sheets were not clear enough how to put them on the tank. After I dropped one, which was sucked in a wormhole or something (at that time I was still working in the basement), I thought "screw it" and left them off.
That's the stuff I remember right now, that caused me some problems.
But that could also just be me, as I don't build armor very often.

Totally agreed Kuma!
Thanks for detailed feedback WG! Looks like I will be dry-fitting a lot before setting the piece with glue.
Panzer Vor! I have just seen your GuP tanks and great work Motatim ? . Hopefully I will apply primer next week and upload some neat photos with white background.

With tracks as wide as those of a Tiger, you can drill holes in the hull side and stick brass or steel rod in them to hold down the track on top of the wheels. Check photos of the real thing to see how the track hangs, then press it down to the right height with the side of your drill (so that the drill's tip is on the hull side) and drill the hole; repeat for the other locations where you think you need to pin the track. Then paint everything, put the track on, and slide a piece of metal rod bent into an L-shape through the hole from the inside, with the inside arm down so that the upward pressure of the track forces it against the hull — that will keep the other arm horizontal, and this in turn keeps the track down.
The trick is to make the rods a bit shorter than the track, so they are hard to see. This makes this method unsuitable for narrow tracks like on a Panzer III, Japanese tanks from the Second World War, an M113, or similar vehicles. But on Panthers, Tigers, T-55s, etc. it will work fine.

Thank you very much, Jakko.
Next project will propably be a tank (with rubber tracks no less), so I think I can give this a try. 👍

Good to see you're back working on this beauty.
The armor texture you applied already adds a lot to the tank. 👍
I'm looking forward to your colour modulations.

Thank you, I was unsure about the texture but it came out pretty well. As for modulation, that's the first thing I will do when I get to home, I can't wait to see this tank highlighted
