Interesting build. Curious to see how a detailed 2A4 can be built. 👍

After lots of fiddling, sanding, test fitting, the turret-bash is done thanks to the crew.

Just out of curiosity, what's the blue stuff in pictures 28 and 29?

It's highly thinned Tamiya paint, just for checking the joints. Looks ugly but did the job. Same as our chancellorette ?

Ah, Angie 😄
I tried some markers for the same purpose, but they are still visible under lacquers.

Right now everything looks fine again, it's all primed in black without any hue of blue. ?

Yes Łukasz, I had the same issue with Sharpie peeping through lacquer paints... I use Sharpie to check my seams and sanding progress, but am very rigorous in cleaning it with alcohol or SLT before priming.

Looking good! I like the scruffy look you achieved with those multiple tones of green.

Thanks Patrick, it needs to be a little over the top, as these training tanks are quite dusty. So most of the effect will be reduced with further coatings. It will look even worse after a glossy coat. ?

Gloss coat, wash, highliting and dry brushing, decals, matt coat. Puzzling the number plates number after number was real fun, highly recommended!! 😉 Now on to tow cables, detail painting and building a machine gun mount from scratch for a FN MAG C6 from ACE's IDF Nagmashot APC.

I can not stress enough how I love the faded paint! Very nicely done being pale on the horizontal areas and getting more saturation further down the sides.

That's so nice, thanks everyone, also for the many likes! Crew added, not sure about the dio (tree is not ready yet), more dirt!

Thank you Tom!
@Patrick: As long as it's monochrome, it's pretty simple airbrushing without masks. Endlevel is doing it on digital camo! ? Glad you like it, thanks!

Tempting to add a Keep Off The Grass sign 😉 I'm impressed by the level of detailing you have added, but even more by your modifications. A very 'clean' result, that belies it's 1:72 scale for sure.

Thanks guys ? I'm just not sure about giving it more dirt, as some hard laboured effects would vanish for others ... Who knows... ?

First, very nice indeed!
Second, I see that picture 40 shows the Leo along with five important materials used 😉
Third, if you don't mind my asking, did you happen to serve in the LdSH, or are you just familiar with the regiment?
Lastly, I only experienced the Leopard C1, so I don't know how accurate your's is, but if I was to imagine what it would be like to transition from the old C1 to the Leo 2, I imagine it would like just like yours :-D

Thanks Rui, much appreciated comments!
Second thing is most important!!
Third is just by pure interest in Canadian vehicles. I served as a conscript in the Bundeswehr with PzPiKp 150.
At least I tried to be accurate, as original and model are kind of hybrids in the Leopard family. Glad, I could give you a little flashback. 🙂 You can find my Leopard C1 here:
