I was a bit disappointed with the marking options in the Tamiya T-55A kit. I found the Mimiart 1/35 Instuction sheet and used it to model an Ethiopian Tank. The base is Vallejo Japanese Uniform Ochre thinned and applied by airbrush. The base was chipped using the hair spray technique. The finish was then oxidized and streaked using oils, followed by a pin wash and then application of Vallejo pigments. The fuel drums where textured using Mr Surfacer and then painted using Vallejo chocolate brown to simulate rust and weathered with red/brown/orange ground pastel chalks. Other than the marking option I was very please with the kit and I like the scale not as chanllenging as 1/72 but not a shelf hog like 1/35.
