It starts with a whole lotta cleaning and dryfitting with these..
And that thing is quite big for a singl-engine plane 🙂

Well i hope i will get this to a good result.. Biplanes are not my best discipline...😢
First steps are done. Filling of course is needed, The fit is not that bad either.

Daniel, I can finally see building this kit in your hands. I'm glad. I almost missed it. I have to get one of these kits.
Following one more time!

I will follow this one too. I love Williams Brothers kits, however clumsy they are sometimes. But somehow it matches the Golden Age focus (golden age of models ?). I do like high-quality recent kits too, and I'm so happy about the ones coming out with Dora Wings, which seems to have picked up where Williams left.

Me too, that is why all of my bi-planes are still in their boxes, except for one. LOL.

As a recent learner of this "art", Daniel......some "wisdom" to impart...
...choose a method and just try it...
....there are basically two methods....either one of the variations on drilling holes for the rigging and then stringing/wiring it...or use eyelets for some kind of line
...either way, count on your first one or two efforts being a bit rough and count on getting better....
this Douglas Cruiser is a good test bed.....
one final bit of rigging "wisdom"....whatever scheme you choose...plan for it at the very top of the project and build in whatever steps are necessary, just like any other modeling task...
now...go rig that thing!

Hmmm ..it strikes me that summer floods have prompted a flurry of floatplanes, or is it just a coincidence, 😉 Nice looking plane, is going to look fabulous for sure 👍

Beautiful rigging - these cable things scare me. The wood effect on the prop looks awesome too!

Daniel, how did twisting copper wire compare to using elastic rigging? I find it a very interesting idea.

Your rigging style will be interesting after mounting of the upper wing! I have mainly given up using the thinnest fishing line after repeated criticism of sagging ropes. And that already changed with different temperatures. Good luck!
