Bart Goesaert, Holger Kranich and Ekki: Many thanks for your comments. This is the first model that I end after several years. Kit is tipical old Airfix. Very few details, raised panel lines, hard fit... Interior and some exterior parts are from scratch. Paint is from Gunze (propellers are painting from Lara's metal). Antennas wire are made from fishing line. I hope to make better the Academy's OV-10D kit next time.

Excellent - if you can pull this off with an old Airfix, imagine what you can do with the Academy kit!!!

Looks like, Łukasz 😛
During the washing process and effects it had measles 😄
They are small oil dots of different colors randomly placed that are diluted and dragged with a brush in the wind direction to create a bit of chromatic variety with that effect. It is difficult to see the result in the pics, but perhaps you can see it in photos 39, 42 and maybe 43 (not black grooves). This is my first time doing this. I did it to test.
Thanks for watching, likes and the feedback, mates.

Many thanks for your comment, Erik.
Upgrading old kits is a challenge, but it can also become an suffered addiction.

Looks great! Adding the antenna wires really adds realism but I find it hard to do. Very nice work!

Dean, Neuling and Guy: Many thanks for your comments. Your words are very appreciated. I think old kits should be given a chance, even if they are not as nice as a newer one.
Dean, I made the antennas with fishing line (I don't remember the thickness). Its base is made with a glob of cyanoacrylate. I should add comments to the photos, like I did in other albums.
I also should change the windshield for a handmade one according to its scale. I should also change the flat tail weights to make ones with a rounder volume. There are more things that should be improved, but I think that would be enough for now.
Thanks for your likes, mates! 👍

You made a little gem of this old kit. Congratulation! I'll take a seat.

This is the only OV-10 model I've seen where the propeller blades are correctly painted in two different shades of aluminum. Everybody else misses this detail (or ignores it), including me. Bravo!

Thanks a lot, David. Your words are very encouraging and appreciated. I only looked at pic 34 and tried to reproduce it on the model. You also have a very nice OV-10BZ. I didn't know about that variation you made.

I should also add that I like the Euro-One paint scheme you used. I flew the OV-10A in Germany (and sometimes in Spain) back in the early 1980's. It always looks to me like the "proper" colors for the OV-10 🙂

Thanks again, David. I'm glad to hear that. It is a pleasure to read such lovely words from the hand of a pilot who flew this aircraft. Certainly I also think that the Euro-One is one of the most attractive schemes for the OV-10. Unfortunately there is little offer from the decal manufacturers for this scheme (at least in 1/72 scale). I also plan to build an OV-10D, but haven't decided on the color scheme yet. What air base were you in Spain?

We went to Zaragoza twice each year to practice shooting rockets at the Bardenas Reales range. The rest of the time we were in Sembach AB, Germany.

I know that base in Zaragoza. I was living in that city for a few years and I was also there at the NATO Tiger Meet 2016 🙂 👍

Thank you very much Dick. It is a pride to read your words knowing the wonderful great projects that you do. I would have liked to improve some parts of the kit and repanel, but I still do not dare to do those things.

Many thanks, Andy. This was one of my first kits as a kid. I assembled it unpainted, along with a Gnat, a Viggen and the Airfix F-5 (The Mig from Top Gun). Unos año después, en una etapa posterior del modelismo, comencé a pintar a pincel con el F-4C/D de Monogram.
@Łukasz, I trust that ICM has better fit, better detail, more accurate engine fronts and some really attractive paint schemes like this... but above all a windshield wiper according to the scale and some tail stabilizer's counterweights that are not flat 😄
Happy NY to all mates!

Hi mates!
Added comments on all pics. Thanks for watching.
I hope that the new ICM tool is a success and that it offers unusual and striking decorations.

Beautifull. I build this one ,one hundred years ago (more or less) I painted it with silver. All of them. Great memories. Thank you Cuajete.

That is an amazing build from the Aifix fit the OV-10 is my favorite aircraft, I will buy the ICM 1/72 kit even though I already build the ICM 1/48 kit which was a dream to build, I know you will enjoy building the ICM kit
