Having finished my Lockheed Hercules C-130 I looked at my model of its predecessor the FLying Boxcar. The kit was from Italeri and finished with self-made decals. The green nosed C-119 belonged to 15 Wing, 40 (Transport) Squadron which existed from 1957 to 1960 and from 1961 to 1973.
The other two squadrons of 15 Wing were n° 20 sq with the blue nose /Sioux , also with C-119s in that period and n° 21 sq with the red nose/Sioux which had f the other transport aircraft.
n° 40 Heli squadron was formed in 1974 .
