David, the German Luftwaffe had these also, as you can see from the kits box art. The Belgian ones were even converted to their Starfighter nose by the same German company as the Luftwaffe.
You might notice the difference between the Canadian and German/Belgian nose.
After some time, the Belgian DC-3 were reconverted to "normal" configuration as more and more TF-104G's became available.
