Hello mates! For a while I will show the two Atlas rocket projects together in this gallery - except for the payload they are more or less identical.
The rocket models are amazingly complex- and Model Horizon meets this with the number of parts and a number of beautiful details- see the parts for the rescue turret of the Mercury capsule. Soon they will be primed in glossy black and then it's off to Alclad!

The two rocket twins have gained some metallic shine; now it's time to apply the (extensive) decals!

Thank you Thomas!
A few more pictures of the two Atlas rockets, this time with all the decals. But there is still some painting to do - especially to get the glossy tone I expect to be correct.

Now the second Atlas is also positioned at the launch table - and the project of the two Atlas rockets is completed. Here, too, I am faced with the question of how to photograph such an upright rocket. John Glenn's Mercury capsule could also be shown on its own, but here I decided to go for "size" and show everything assembled ready for launch. Thank you for your interest and comments, mates!
