Roland SachsenhoferThese pictures open this further contribution on the subject of "assault gliders". Although the Italeri moulds are not overly detailed, they are clean and accurately cast. Accordingly, the processing so far is a real pleasure. In the interior, I have continued the struts of the framework in front of the window openings with suitable brass wire as a first detailing measure. The kit simply leaves out the struts in front of the windows.
Furthermore, the large interior is improved even further - without overdoing it....

Roland SachsenhoferA few construction stages of the "Gigant". RLM 71 is the first colour shade applied on the upper side, covered the lower side now shows RLM 65, both applied with the proven Gunze colours. The construction photos already show me that photographing the finished "Giant" will be a nice challenge!

Roland SachsenhoferAll surface colours are now applied, next comes the glossy clear coat as a base for the few decals. The older kit is still nice to build and offers a lot of possibilities.

Roland SachsenhoferShort update: the surfaces are now painted, decals have been applied -and the final gloss level has been produced. Now some more use and dirt will be applied to the outer skin before the final assembly can begin.

Roland SachsenhoferA lot of pictures were taken - but that's also because it's really fun to photograph a Me-321! 🙂 Anyway, this project is finally finished and photographically united with the finished construction of the "Famo".
The biggest effort was the research on the original, because Italeri does not always give information - and if it does, it should be checked. So far I am quite satisfied. I hope the pictures meet with your approval, thank you for the inspiring comments and your interest!
