Another with fellow Raspberry Ripple on the bench.
The Hawk T.1 and Zlin Z-142 are now finished.
Also the Typhoon Gun pod bulge has been added under the right side of the nose to act as an info recording housing.
I fitted a fully upgraded cockpit using a Hawk T.1 instrument panel, Typhoon Ejection Seat and a full round of dry brushing and weathering to enhance the detail.
I slowly added the Spitfires standard Air intake and a spare spare from the F-35A's ejection seat which didn't get used and has been employed here as the Spit's newly upgraded Air Speed Indicator sensor(basically a PITOT tube).
Sit tight as this is going to be 1 hell of a ride!
So I had a couple of built but unpainted Airfix Spitfire Mk.1 on the shelf of doom and had no idea what to do with them.
They started as a quad build that myself and my younger brother did a number of years ago.
1 ended up in the black night fighter scheme, another ended up in a bright tiger meet scheme, theres a 4th that hasn't had anything done to it yet and then this 1.
So the idea for a Raspberry Ripple Spit came when I recieved a Special Hobby Seafire for xmas 2019.
It has a ton of extra unused parts.
So I came up with the idea of using these extra parts on this spit and painting her into a Raspberry Ripple scheme that will take its inspiration from the cover image.
Special Hobby Seafire parts used:
Under wing fuel tank bulges
5 bladed propeller
Naturally other parts unused from other kits and old broken models were then added:
Airfix A-4B Skyhawk upper fuselage radome
Italeri F-35A Lightning II antenna
Italeri F-35A Lightning II Ejection Seat part(I dont knownwhat it is)
PM Models Sea Fury Drop Tanks
Revell Hawk T.1 instrument panel
Revell Typhoon T.2 Ejection Seat
Revell Typhoon T.2 nose gun pod
Trumpeter Wyvern RATO gear - possibly not going to be used.
Zvezda MiG-29 belly tank support bars - added and then removed.
I was looking for some more modern looking air intakes and found a pair in the spares box, no idea what they are but they work!
