Being "very short run" I expect this project to be a rather complex build.... But the kit is very nice for that and well equipped with etched and resin parts. I am so happy there is a Sea Hurricane Mk II in 1:32!
Fly prepares a lot of modelling fun, that´s for sure....

Den Bausatz habe ich auch noch auf dem Schrank. Ich bin mal gespannt, wie sich die Hurri bauen lässt.

Helllo mates! I wish you a happy New Year!
I would like to show you the first modeling activity 2017: cutting the fuselage open for the resin made adaption of the Sea Hurricanes arrester hook. Hope that will look good one day 🙂

Happy new year to ya all! Reserve me a seat, Roland. For this interesting build, i´m back in a few minutes with beer and Popcorn.

Some "insights" into the recently closed fuselage: after assembly of all these struts and details the cockpit does look not too bad-even more when the fuselage had been closed and any possible imperfections have been successfully lost in the darkness of the cockpit 🙂
Fit of the plastic parts is great by the way.

A few pictures of the Sea Hurricane slowly gaining shape: resin and etched parts are great, the plastic parts are a little bit on the brittle side. The resin arrestor-hook was cemented in with Cyanacrylat, than sanded to a smooth surface.

Thank you mates! I am really ambitious of working with that kit, quite a lot of work-but also fun!

Everybody here is just practicing- there is always something to be learned. That´s the fun I guess 🙂

"Black Gloss" will serve as a base for Alclad Aluminum- and reveals all inaccuracies- nearly as good as Alclad does 🙂

Little update: Alclad Aluminum has been layed upon the gloss black base. Now the Gunzes "Gloss White" may follow!

Thank you both mates!
A few steps forward to a finished Sea Hurricane: all the surfaces have been painted and shaded to an appropriate glance. To be honest, there is not much left to do. I hope I can assemble all the parts like canopy, prop, landing gear etc. in the next few days. 🙂

Finished at last! That was an truly demanding kit- one of the last challenges was the fixing of the canopy, being much too small to fit on the Hurris back- but it was worth the efforts. I am really happy to have had the chance to prove my skills on a Sea Hurricane II in 1:32. Thank you Fly!
