Grumman F6F-3 "Pekelna cica" (Hellcat)

this project is one of the "let's get this quickly together, just for fun" so I didn't even take any pictures of the cockpit. Not too much to see anyway. Basic OOB with decal on instrument panel. 

 

engine painted with GSI buffable colors 

machine gun barrels drilled out for better look 

wing-fuselage joint was not that bad - small gaps at the top surfaces. Small strips of styrene and carefully sanded down 

may require further sanding after the first coat of primer 

final coat in place - camo airbrushed by hand 

 

same with the main fuselage 

pushing forward, decals in place

propeller ready for final matt varnish
