Once the cockpit is closed the construction goes very quickly forward. It's a very smartly designed kit, all fits like a glove (with a small exception of front undercarriage covers)

Wow... Away for so long and I miss out on "phabulous" things like this. I had this kit in my hands, but I got rid of it because of the very flat shape of the canopy despite being a good kit. Maybe I should have kept it and left the canopy open to hide its shape. I finally got the F version from Hasegawa but I am missing the decals for the decoration that I would like to make.

Great job so far, Łukasz! Red color it's very nice with the "magic pink" under 👌

Thanks y'all for your feedback, I just finished the decalling, except for the yellow vertical lines above the wings, which were printed in the same red as I painted the kit 🙁 Need to find out some spare yellow stripes.
But this is just the top of the iceberg - the decals are very disappointing - either too small or too big and the inlet logos have a very distinct halftone pattern on the white part, while the red one is way brighter than it should.
Last but not least the white is out of register almost everywhere 🙁
Taking this and your feedback into account, I'm not going to be bothered by washing the bugger.
I plan to dash to the finish line instead,

Thanks y'all - hereby I announce the completion of this little project.
It's a nice kit, but the canopy is a complete mismatch and can kill all the building fun.
More pics tomorrow, need some daylight, so you can spot all the weak points 😛

Alles komplete! (luckily not kaputt 😉) Unfortunately the sunday run out of daylight before I had time to take pics, so todays shots are straight from my workbench 🙂
Couple of details I wanted to mention in case anyone wondered - the yellow details have been brushpainted as I couldn't find spare decals that could do the trick. I also overpainted (brush again!) the Rs on the intake sides.
In general - very smart kit with horrible canopy. If I come across another one, I might give it a try with an open cockpit.

Łukasz, I'm sorry I couldn't warn you in time about the canopy problem with this kit. I think that is its biggest drawback. Still you got a fantastic result.

@Cuajete: No problem, I wasn't planning to go for the open cockpit anyway. Instead I flooded the whole canopy in transparent resin to even it a bit 😉

I just browsed the history and yes, you have warned me about the canopy being flat, which didn't bother me that much tbh 🙂
But, man, its fit is just hopeless 😄

Revell never gets the canopy right. I don't know what they are doing but every Revell kit I have ever made the canopy is a problem. It's amazing how they manage it.
