P-51 flown by 1 Lt Spurgeon Ellington 100th Fighter Squadron, Romitelli, Italy 1944 (Tuskegee Airman) 6$ on sale at Hobby Lobby not a bad deal. Finished with Vallejo Metal Aluminum and Vallejo Air red paint. Instead of dipping the canopy in Future I polished it using the Novus product line. I liked the control this gave me and I will use it from now on. I usually do not use pilot figures but being this was a african american Squadron I wanted to highlight the pilot, I was going to keep the canopy open but I did not like how it fit in the open postition so I closed it up. I cannot complain for a six dollar investment. I usually would use a panel line wash but I liked how the black base used for the metal finish seemed to stay in the panel lines so I skipped this step,
