170806, BB67: The one problematic seam in the kit. As it turns out, it is pretty much invisible once trunks leading up to the secondary battery directors are in place.

Album info USS Montana (BB-67) from 2017 kit by Very Fire (1/700).
Depicts USS MONTANA (BB-67) as designed, July 1942.
The name Montana was assigned to BB-67 on 28 December 1940; but construction of the Montana class (BB-67/71) was canceled 21 July 1943, before her keel was laid by Philadelphia Navy Yard.
This excellent kit from a new manufacturer was very complete, with PE railings and accessories, wood decking, and blackened anchor chain all included. Build is out of the box with minor enhancements:
- Scratched display base and acrylic case
- Scout aircraft replaced with Curtiss SC Seahawk
- Minor alterations (e.g. brass, aluminium rod to replace masts, etc.)
