F-80C Shooting Star

Dry brushing the dials didn’t go so well. The paint was too tacky no matter what I did.

Pilot looks decent. Odd that neither hand is on the stick though. 

 

Micromask fail. And I can’t get the metalizer off the canopy. 

I hate this kit. Just 33 parts and it’s torture - it needs to be finished already! 

Even the kit used in the box art has problems. Heck - I did a better job blending the belly and the wings. And the noise weight in the wheel well isn’t exactly subtle.  

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

I gave up trying to clean the metalizer the canopy. 

I wish I’d taken “before” photos of the underside - smoothing out the belly was a massive effort.
