How did you shade the ribs like that? Beautiful build of an old kit. The wheels are a remarkable illusion. Did you 3d print them?

Thank you guys! The wings were just painted one colour, the "shading" is the surface detail of the kit. Wheels were transparent mouldings with the orignal Inpact boxes and I painted only tyres.
Later reissues moulded them opaque.
Inpact was high-tech of the sixties and I still rate them among the best fabric covered model airplanes.

Vertical fuselage frames were sanded with flexipads to square section, cross members replaced with 1x1mm Evergreen.
Wooden parts got a coat of clear orange. Wheels are clear plastic, spokes were NOT painted. Skids were bound with sewing thread.
Rigging is 5 thou (0.125mm) surgical steel wire
