I come across an article which states that this kit is a re-release of the ESCI/Scalecraft A-4 E/F kit with modifications for A-4 M/N
(link - a4skyhawk.org/content/modelers-hangar-bay)
there for if the article is right and the dates on one or both kits are wrong. He states ESCI/Scalecraft A-4 E/F kit come out in 1983. As I have the A-4 M/N #4016 kit in my stash I double check to see if there is a date to found on the kit but unfortunately not.

This seems to be a well researched article. I would say feel free to correct everything.

Yes H K it does look like a creditable source indeed and although I have searched for release date I was unable to find it. I did update the colour scheme /decals while I had the instruction sheet out. I was curious to see what year ESCI Kit #4015 was release which just so happen to be 1983, so I've taken the liberty to best guess that this kit was also released in that year.

The internet is an interesting place. It is often easier to find information on 60`s kits than on 80`s ones. My father had a great collection of old catalogues from his visits to the Nuremberg toy fare. Unfortunately it was lost when they moved.
