But i dont understand that fuel drums on the back. Make the tank bigger and include the fueltanks and you are battleproof.

The Russian military doctrine says that a tank weight must be less than 55t (which is considerably less than western counterparts). If you make it bigger you will also make it heavier. One other thing is that most russian tanks (with the exception of T-14 Armata) have a low silhouette.

Three words "Volume inside armor". Less volume => More armor.
No need to keep save spare fuel barrel. Prefer to keep save only that really nessesarry

Well, look at the M113A3, it has external fuel tanks as well in the back, although they don't look like barrels. But still, with the considerably less armor that M113 has and taking into consideration how many people are inside that tin can, well, the risk is higher than for a tank 🙂

And the BMP-1 is even worse, it has the fuel tank inside the rear door. Kind of a nasty situation to have your exit in flames.

TBS-86 is standart DozenBlade. It can be attached to almost any soviet\russian tank including of course T-90A.
