Thanks, Roland! Most of these I have not seen yet. I think you are right, the prototype looks to be one solid colour.
Here is a photo album that of the photos that I have found, including some of the V3 as it began restoration and conservation efforts last year at the NASM:

On some of the new colour photos, you can see the RLM02 underneath the paint that the US applied for its display in 1945. Cheers!
