June 8, 2023Trim & Sanding. Too many parts. 🙁4
June 8, 2023Painted black surfacer for anti 'sub surface scattering'.5
June 8, 2023Then white surfacer. (not perfectly coated)6
June 8, 2023Masking.7
June 8, 2023Painted white surfacer (perfectly coated now)8
June 8, 2023Done white parts.9
June 9, 2023I had a small workspace, so I had to paint in small batches.
So I painted the colors of the parts with the least number of parts first.
Matt black, Matt aluminium, Chrome, Stainless silver, Gunmetal, Copper.10
June 9, 2023Next, Metallic Gray. (This paint is just as useful as German Gray)11
June 9, 2023Now it's time to paint the main color, blue.
I decided to do a two-tone color scheme, so I made a light blue(R) and a dark blue (C).
The left color is failed, because too low saturated.12
June 9, 20231st, Painted dark blue.13
June 9, 2023Then, matt coating. (Because the paint I made is a glossy paint)14
June 9, 2023Masking.15
June 9, 2023Painted lignt blue.16
June 9, 2023Masked again.17
June 10, 2023Painted yellow and orange.18
June 10, 2023Applied decal before matt coating.19
June 10, 2023Coated matt clear.20
June 10, 2023One more...
It's a lot of parts, but it's also a lot of size, which makes for a cramped workspace.21
June 10, 2023Painted with paint brush.
I just painted the engine to my liking.22
June 11, 2023Figures are not my category, but I just painted hard.23
June 11, 2023Applied Hasegawa Mirror Sheet.24
June 11, 2023Ready to assemble.25
June 11, 2023I placed a magnet on the inside of the sole to keep it in place when I put it in the case.26
June 11, 2023Assembled legs.
Because we're using ball joints for such a large leg, it's very flimsy 🙁27
June 11, 2023Assembled arms.28
June 11, 2023Assembled back, chest, waist(engine).29
June 12, 2023The cockpit seats two people, so that leaves one figure, but since there's room in the back, we can store it there.30
June 12, 2023Assembled remaining pelvis and head, gun.31
June 12, 2023Now it's just a matter of snapping the assembled parts together.32
June 12, 2023Finish. I skipped the washing, but I think it's pretty enough as it is.
Thanks for watching.
